📢 Job Opening: Auto Body Instructor – Admiral Peary AVTS

Admiral Peary Area Vocational-Technical School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Auto Body Instructor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to train the next generation of skilled auto body technicians in a hands-on learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in auto body repair, refinishing, collision repair, and painting techniques.
  • Teach students industry-standard safety practices and proper tool/equipment use.
  • Prepare students for ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and I-CAR certifications.
  • Develop lesson plans, assessments, and shop activities aligned with state and industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure students receive up-to-date training and real-world experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of full-time auto body repair experience.
  • ASE and/or I-CAR certifications preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required—we will support qualified candidates in obtaining necessary teaching certifications.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for mentoring students and preparing them for successful careers.

📢 Job Opening: Instructional Aide Positions (2 Openings)

Location: Admiral Peary Area Vocational-Technical School
Employment Type: Full-Time, 9-Month Position
Start Date: 8/18/2025

Admiral Peary AVTS is seeking two (2) Instructional Aides to support our Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education, student success, and technical learning environments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting instructors in delivering hands-on instruction in technical programs
  • Supporting individual or small groups of students in academic and technical tasks
  • Supervising students during classroom, lab, and transition periods
  • Helping to maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure student needs are met

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience working with high school students or in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in team-oriented environments

Position Details:

  • Monday–Friday, school-year position 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Follows the Admiral Peary AVTS academic calendar
  • Competitive hourly wage and benefits package offered
  • Clearances required (FBI, Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background)
